Pilgrimage 200830

I have such an amazing family.

My Mom and Dad have opened up their home for me to escape to.  They have made me feel so welcome in their lives as I am sure I up-end it every time I come around.

I got to see my cousin Jason and his family for a quick minute and then spend time with my awesome aunt Marilyn and uncle Bob today.  We discussed all sorts of topics from religion to politics, from money to health.

My amazing bride is holding down the fort so to speak as I travel around to once again try and figure out who I am and what I am supposed to be doing.

As I read back through this blog, this seems like a pretty familiar topic.

Living in the Marine Corps has me accustomed to moving around a lot, changing jobs and positions, and getting re-established in ever changing roles.  It isn't a bad thing, it's just a reality in my life.

As I retired, I jumped into a government contracting company: JCTM: jctm.us  I had a new role as a contractor, doing similar work to what I did when I was in.

I never really had no job.  I never had nothing to force me to be busy doing something.  Without a mission in front of me, what am I supposed to do.

The answer is whatever I want... I just don't know what that is!

This time away is giving me some time to think.  It is giving me some time to pray and get closer to God.

I am so very thankful to my loving, supporting family!

Semper Fi,
m
